HiON is an independent electric vehicle fast-charging operator that builds and runs its own stations on the Tesla network, which it describes as known for reliability. Its chargers are open to most EVs: vehicles with native NACS connectors plug in directly, while compatible CCS1 vehicles can use the Magic Dock built into each stall. Drivers do not need a HiON app or an adapter to charge, though sessions are started through the relevant app for their vehicle. HiON’s V4 chargers offer up to 325 kW, with actual charging speeds depending on the vehicle, battery state, and station activity.
The company aims to make charging convenient by locating stations near coffee, food, and clean restrooms. Its first site is open in Denver Tech Center, Greenwood Village, Colorado, and additional locations are in development across Colorado, Illinois, and New York. HiON provides station information, vehicle compatibility guidance, and updates on upcoming openings. It also invites commercial property owners and site operators to explore hosting a station through its franchise model.
