About Hispanic
The Hispanic/Latino Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, operated by the Institute of Research, Education, and Services in Addiction at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine, is dedicated to advancing behavioral health equity for Latine communities. Through funding from the U. S.
Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, we provide culturally-informed, evidence-based information, training, and technical assistance to expand the behavioral health workforce serving Latine communities. Our focus areas include culturally informed practices, language access, workforce expansion, and public policy advocacy tailored to meet the unique needs of Hispanic and Latine populations. We offer resources for mental health providers, community organizations, researchers, and individuals with lived experiences.
