Historical Movement Archive

The Historical Movement Archive (HMA) is an innovative research hub dedicated to preserving and sharing the art of movement through cutting-edge technology. By harnessing motion capture and volumetric capture techniques, HMA recreates historical and cultural movements in a three-dimensional digital format. This pioneering approach allows for the preservation of movements found in antiquarian books and manuscripts, making them accessible for study and appreciation globally.

HMA offers a unique collaborative platform where scholars, teachers, and performers from around the world can convene in a virtual environment known as the Hope Bear Garden. This interactive space enables live performances and research sharing, creating an immersive experience for users, whether on computers or virtual reality devices.

Additionally, HMA is developing a robust digital library, advanced research tools, and a 3D viewer for analyzing and archiving movement data. Their mission is to merge tradition with modernity, ensuring the rich heritage of movement and performance arts is preserved for future generations.
