Hitta Katten

Djurskyddsföreningen Hitta Katten is a nonprofit animal welfare organisation helping homeless cats in Enköping, Bålsta, Bro, Sala, Heby and surrounding areas. Its cat shelter is located in Enköping, where the association cares for cats and helps them find suitable homes. The website provides information about cats newly arriving at the shelter, those seeking homes, cats with bookings and cats that have been rehomed. It also offers guidance for people who have found a cat or need help arranging a rehoming.

People can support Hitta Katten by becoming members, volunteering or offering a foster home, particularly for cats with special needs. Membership gives supporters the opportunity to take part in annual meetings, vote and make proposals. The association also raises funds through products such as its popular cat calendar, along with activities including markets and events at the shelter. Hitta Katten is affiliated with the Swedish Animal Welfare Association and the Swedish Animal Shelter Federation. Donations can be made through the payment details provided on its website.
