Hiyacar

Hiyacar is a UK peer-to-peer car-sharing platform that connects people who need a vehicle with local owners willing to rent theirs out. Customers can search for cars and book them by the hour or day, with vehicles available in major cities including London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Listings include a range of options, such as manual and automatic cars, and the platform also highlights categories like electric vehicles, seven-seaters and convertibles in London.

Hiyacar aims to make car sharing accessible without requiring drivers to own a vehicle. Rentals include comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance, while prospective drivers undergo seven layers of verification. The company also offers QuickStart keyless technology and says its vehicles are tested by Kwik Fit. For owners, Hiyacar provides a way to list a car and earn extra money. Its services additionally include driver subscriptions, business accounts and options for organisations. A support team and help centre are available to assist users, and the platform promotes community-based sharing as an alternative to relying solely on privately owned cars.
