Hjælperne.dk

Hjælperne.dk is a Danish service that connects older people and others who need extra support with local helpers for everyday tasks and companionship. Its services include cleaning, shopping, gardening, accompanying clients, IT assistance, changing bed linen, window washing and ironing, as well as social visits. The service is designed for people who want flexible help at home, including those whose needs are not met by municipal support or who cannot receive it.

Customers pay 215 Danish kroner per hour, with no subscription commitment, and can choose the tasks, duration and frequency of visits. Hjælperne aims to provide the same helper from one visit to the next, matching customers based on experience, skills and location. The company says it has more than 1,700 local helpers across Denmark; all are approved through its screening process and insured through If. Customers can arrange assistance online or by phone, and may qualify for a tax deduction for eligible household services such as cleaning and gardening.
