Hjertebarns

Foreningen for hjertesyke barn is a Norwegian association focused on children with heart conditions and the families who support them. It provides information and resources to help people understand congenital heart defects and navigate care and everyday life as a child grows. Its knowledge bank covers diagnoses, treatment, examinations, nutrition, school and preschool, pregnancy, adolescence, research, rights, and living with a heart condition.

The association also offers support and opportunities to connect, including access to peer supporters, a question-and-answer service, expert guidance, and local groups. Its resources are intended for families as well as teachers, educators, and health professionals. Through the “Min hjertefeil” film series, children and young people share their experiences of friendships, exercise, scars, worries, and sources of comfort and joy. The association publishes news, hosts member webinars, and organizes activities such as Hjertebarnløpet. People can get involved by becoming members, volunteering in association roles, making a donation, or becoming regular supporters. Its office is in Oslo, Norway.
