香港地方志中心 Hong Kong Chronicles Institute

The Hong Kong Chronicles Institute, established by the Unity Hong Kong Foundation in late 2019, plays a pivotal role in preserving Hong Kong's cultural heritage through the publication of the first comprehensive "Hong Kong Chronicle. " This repository documents various aspects of Hong Kong including its natural geography, political landscape, economic conditions, social dynamics, cultural developments, and notable personalities. The institute aims to record social changes and develop a historical context that serves to inform governance and educational initiatives.

Its mission revolves around the principles of tracing roots, documentation, and transmission of cultural knowledge, thereby creating a vital resource for both the people of Hong Kong and the wider Chinese community. The institute also actively engages in community activities, organizes exhibitions, and offers publications that explore themes related to Hong Kong's history, nature, and identity, ensuring that the city's rich heritage is cherished and passed on to future generations
