[HKIHRM] Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management

Established in 1977, the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM) is a professional institute serving Hong Kong’s human resources community. It has close to 5,000 members, including around 500 corporate members, and offers individual membership across five categories. Around 90% of its working members hold middle-management positions or above.

HKIHRM supports professional development through training programmes, certificate courses, e-learning, corporate training and consultancy, mentoring, webinars and networking events. Its professional recognition services include membership designations, professional standards and continuing professional development. The Institute also organises events such as an annual conference and exhibition, the HR Excellence Awards, and pay and benefits seminars.

To inform HR practice, HKIHRM publishes research and reports, including pay and benefits surveys, training and development studies, quick polls and employee experience research. It provides business services such as an HR service providers directory, tailored events, advertising, room rental and job opportunities. The Institute also undertakes advocacy, makes government submissions and engages in mainland and international collaborations, connecting members with resources and developments across the profession.
