Hospodářská komora Praha 1

Hospodářská komora Praha 1 (Prague 1 Chamber of Commerce) represents and supports business interests in Prague’s central district. It works to improve relations between entrepreneurs and public administration and to create better conditions for doing business. The organization says it has detailed knowledge of the structure and procedures of public authorities, which it uses to advocate for local businesses and identify areas and projects deserving public support. Businesses can join the chamber, and its website also lists courses and Czech POINT services.

Its advocacy focuses on practical local issues. Projects include seeking clear rules for Airbnb-style accommodation, supporting the redevelopment of Revoluční Street and revitalization around Na Poříčí, and preparing a special application with the Prague 1 municipal district to alert entrepreneurs to public-space closures and other restrictions. The chamber also campaigns to simplify the administrative process for permits for restaurant terraces. Through these initiatives, it aims to balance business needs with quality of life in the district and foster a more transparent, supportive environment for enterprises.
