Hawk Mountain Council is the local Scouting America council serving young people, families, and volunteers in its community. It supports Cub Scouting and Scouts BSA, helping participants find opportunities for adventure, learning, leadership, and service. The council provides guidance for joining and registration, resources for unit leaders, advancement information, volunteer training, and forms for program administration. Its training offerings include National Youth Leadership Training, S.A.F.E. youth-protection training, online learning, and information on hazardous weather preparedness.

Outdoor programs are a central part of the council’s work. At Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation, Scouts can take part in Cub Scout camping, summer camp, and year-round camping; the site also offers facility rentals and conservation activities. The council shares information about camping events, scholarships, and other places for Scout outings. It also organizes community and fundraising activities, including the annual Spirit of Scouting Breakfast and a fall popcorn sale, and welcomes donations through Friends of Scouting, planned giving, memorials, and other contributions.
