The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club is the largest running organization in the Albany, N. Y. Founded in 1971, the club now boasts over 2,000 members of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, united by their love of running.
The club's primary mission is to promote and participate in quality races and running-related activities. With nearly 30 running events organized each year, there's something for everyone, whether you're a novice or a seasoned runner. The club hosts races at various locations throughout the Capital District, including the renowned CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge in May, the Mohawk-Hudson River Marathon and Hannaford Half Marathon in October, and the 15K Stockade-athon in November.
In addition to these flagship events, the club also organizes a range of other races, from the five Winter Series races to trail races at Thacher Park and Tawasentha Park. Most club races have low entry fees, and members can enjoy participating in ten events for free through the Ten Free program. Alongside the races, the club offers various benefits to its members, including the opportunity to earn points in specified Grand Prix races and compete for cash prizes.
The club also holds an annual banquet to recognize members' contributions and running accomplishments. If you're passionate about running and want to join a vibrant and supportive community, the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club is the place to be.
