Horticulture Association of Bhutan (HAoB) is a non-profit organization under Bhutan Chambers of Commerce and Industry with more than 3000+ members around the country. The members consist of Community Based Organizations, Cooperatives and Farmers’ Group. The association aims at promoting and enhancing horticulture in Bhutan through the collaboration with relevant agencies. In Bhutan, majority of the population depends upon agriculture especially crops, fewer in the fruit, flower and plant cultivation. Bhutan has the potential capacity to grow various fruits and vegetables in different parts of the nation. However, with minimal knowledge and exposure, Bhutan/Bhutanese farmers concentrate on preselected cash crops for their livelihood. Our association acts as an agent for the nation to advocate the issues of producing similar crop impacting upon the market forces.
