Hobby Hill Parent Participation Preschool is a play-based preschool in Chilliwack, British Columbia, located in the Heritage Promontory Flats Schoolhouse on Promontory. It offers classes for three- and four-year-old children, with a school year running from September to June and breaks over Christmas and Spring Break. The program supports children’s gross and fine motor development, imagination, and social skills through play, exploration, and interaction with classmates.

Hobby Hill’s parent participation model invites parents to be actively involved in classroom life throughout the year. Families can take part in duty days, help with activities such as art projects and snack, and join special events and field trips. The school also offers parent education meetings, giving families opportunities to build parenting knowledge and techniques. Alongside children’s learning and friendships, Hobby Hill emphasizes connection among families and a welcoming community. Its personalized, family-centred approach lets parents share in their children’s preschool experiences while forming lasting relationships with other families.
