HockeyFest is a free, family-oriented hockey event that gives visitors the opportunity to meet NHL stars in a shopping-centre setting. The event is scheduled at Galeries Joliette on August 22, 2026, and Galeries St-Hyacinthe on August 23, 2026. Its program includes hockey challenges, draws and surprises, with event information available for each location and a photo gallery featuring the experience.

Visitors can register for free and manage their place in the queue through a simple on-site process. They find a rink or event poster in the centre, scan its QR code with a phone and sign up in about 30 seconds. Queue numbers appear on the centre’s screens, and participants can opt to receive an email or push notification when their turn approaches. When called, they head to the rink for their timeslot; late arrivals are not accepted. HockeyFest combines a chance to connect with hockey stars and take part in interactive activities with the convenience of shopping while waiting.
