The Malone Family Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to unleashing the healing power of hockey and using the sport as a positive force in people’s lives. Its work focuses on three pillars: supporting military and first responder families, expanding access to hockey, and promoting wellness. The foundation works with organizations serving veterans, first responders, their families, and people currently serving, with an emphasis on well-being and initiatives for military families.

It also seeks to help individuals and communities facing barriers such as the cost of equipment, facilities, or participation, making the game more financially accessible. Through education and activities, the foundation supports healthy lifestyles and wellness, including nutrition and mental health. Its signature programs include Black & Gold Breaking the Mold and the Warrior Hockey Academy.

Additional initiatives and events include the Battle Buddy Clinic, NHL Military Appreciation, Warrior Cup, and Warrior Wellness Camp. The foundation also provides grants, shares community impact updates, and invites supporters to participate through events, partnerships, donations, and its online shop
