About HODARI Foundation
Hodari Foundation is a refugee-founded and refugee-led organization based in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Western Uganda. Our mission is to support the resilience of livelihoods for refugee children, women, and youth, including those with disabilities, as well as the host community. Through a Human-Centered-Design Approach and a Theory of Change, we provide collaborative solutions for lasting impact.
We prioritize improving beneficiary outcomes by treating them as partners, not just recipients of services. Our vision is to see refugees and the host community in Western Uganda living equitable lives free from poverty and food insecurity, and being more adaptive to climate change.
We work with unaccompanied minors, people with disabilities, at-risk girls, individuals living with albinism, the elderly, and women and youth in the informal sector.
