Hogerduinen

Manege Hogerduinen is an equestrian centre in Mariaheide, the Netherlands, welcoming riders of different ages and abilities. It offers riding lessons for children and adults at a range of skill levels, including jumping lessons. Riders with physical or intellectual disabilities can also take part in adapted lessons, delivered by an instructor certified by the Federation for Riding for the Disabled, with support from volunteers. The centre additionally provides pension stabling and training services for horses, and can host children’s birthday parties.

Manege Hogerduinen is also home to riding groups and therapeutic services. Horse-Inn members enjoy recreational riding, competitions and pony activity days. Stichting Centaur offers sport, therapeutic and recreational riding for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Equine therapy is available for children and adults with physical or psychological difficulties or developmental disorders, using a specially trained horse as a co-therapist. The centre also provides adapted riding lessons for clients of GGZ Oost Brabant’s specialist acquired brain injury department, as part of their rehabilitation programme.
