Holden Ag Society

The Holden Agricultural Society is a longstanding volunteer organization serving the community of Holden, Alberta. It operates the Holden Complex at the north end of the community, providing spaces for recreation, sports, meetings, and local events. The facility includes an ice arena, a recreation area, and a mezzanine meeting room, with ice time and meeting-room bookings available by contacting the Society and checking the calendars for availability.

The arena supports a busy winter season, welcoming local adult hockey teams, pond hockey, and high-performance hockey. The Society also hosts community activities and fundraising events, including steak nights, silent auctions, and public skating. Its work extends beyond the winter season: the Complex has hosted 4-H cattle shows and district events, and the Society takes part in community celebrations such as Farmer’s Day. Through volunteer efforts, partnerships, and fundraising, the Holden Agricultural Society maintains the Complex as a shared hub for recreation and community life.
