About The Holden Arboretum
Holden Arboretum, part of Holden Forests & Gardens, is a nature destination in Kirtland, Ohio, offering year-round opportunities to explore forests, gardens, and outdoor learning. Set across 3,500 acres, it features miles of trails, curated gardens, remarkable plant collections, and scenic views, including experiences among and above the treetops. Visitors can plan a visit with information about admission, directions, parking, food, the gift store, and the Corning Library, or explore seasonal attractions and events such as Skeleton Grove.
The arboretum also offers trips, educational programs, scout activities, camps, and resources for educators, alongside opportunities to host events. Its work extends beyond visitor experiences through the Long Center for Plant & Environmental Science, the Holden Seed Bank, the David G. Leach Research Station, and research projects focused on plants, forests, and wildlife. Holden Forests & Gardens also supports community and urban forestry, consulting, and forest health initiatives. Visitors and supporters can engage through membership, volunteering, donations, and public programs.
