Byers McCurry Studio is the online gallery and shop of American artists Holden McCurry and Ed Byers, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The artists have created ceramics and oil and mixed-media paintings since 1997, and have worked as a collaborative team since 2003. Both are Auburn University graduates who pursued postgraduate studies at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina and in Santa Fe. Their work reflects influences gathered from places they have lived, including Birmingham, Asheville, Tucson, and Santa Fe, expressed through attention to color, balance, light, and nature.
The studio offers original, one-of-a-kind collaborative artworks, available exclusively through its online store. Its collection includes sculptural ceramic stoneware and porcelain pieces, vessels, bowls, and ceramic works combined with materials such as steel. Paintings include oil and mixed-media compositions on wood panels and cradled boards, as well as sets of works.
