Holistic + Kin

Holistic+Kin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting wellness and healing among Black men and boys. Founded by Rai Gethers, the organization grew from a recognition of gaps in culturally relevant support and a belief that healing is strengthened through kinship and community. Its mission is to change the narrative around Black wholeness and well-being by connecting people with relatable, secure, and culturally grounded content, resources, and providers through access, collaboration, and education.

Holistic+Kin offers community initiatives, including programming, supportive spaces, workshops, and local partnerships. Its Sankofa Boys Club Fellowship is a mentorship experience for young Black boys, designed to nurture leadership, well-being, identity, and purpose. The Alma Gethers Therapy Fund provides financial support and curated referrals to trusted, culturally affirming providers, helping bridge gaps in access to mental health care. The organization also shares wellness resources and invites community members to participate, support its work, and connect with its provider network.
