Hollywood Commission

The Hollywood Commission is an organization working to make the entertainment industry safer and more respectful for everyone. Its mission is to close industry-wide gaps in standards, practices, and accountability, with particular attention to supporting the most vulnerable workers. The Commission seeks to prevent discrimination, harassment, and abuse, and to help workers speak up about misconduct without fear of retaliation. It collaborates with industry leaders and organizations to improve workplace culture and practices, and to measure progress on safety, harassment, and accountability.

Its work includes workplace safety training, research, case studies, and educational resources for employers and workers. The Commission also provides a workplace conduct policy form and shares findings from the Hollywood Survey, a large-scale study of discrimination, harassment, and bullying across the entertainment industry. Its initiatives include Respect on Set, MyConnext, and the Entertainment Industry Helpline. Partner organizations work with the Commission and one another toward shared goals, while maintaining their own internal efforts.
