About The Hollywood Sign
The Hollywood Sign Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the iconic Hollywood Sign. Comprised of nine dedicated individuals, the Trust operates exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes. Their mission is to physically maintain, repair, and secure the Hollywood Sign, while also providing capital improvements for the public's benefit.
Since its establishment in 1992, the Trust has undertaken various projects to preserve and promote the Sign's cultural significance. This includes major refurbishments, the installation of a state-of-the-art security and surveillance system, and the operation of the official Hollywood Sign website. In addition to their preservation efforts, the Trust sponsors local events and projects that highlight Hollywood's position as the entertainment industry's global hub.
Donations made to the Hollywood Sign Trust are managed by the organization on behalf of the people of California, and are tax-deductible. By supporting the Trust, you are helping to safeguard this towering treasure and its symbolic role as the beacon of the entertainment industry
