Holst Fine Art is a Melbourne-based small business run by mother-and-daughter team Jillian and Sarah Holst. The practice serves the fine art community with conservation, consulting and valuation services, combining decades of experience with specialist restoration skills. Jillian has been part of Melbourneโs art world since 1979.
An accredited valuer for the Australian Commonwealth government, she also advises clients and has spent 30 years helping build major corporate and personal art collections. Sarah is an art conservator who trained with the respected conservator John Perry before his retirement in 2015. Her work includes restoring paintings damaged by age, mould, tears, holes and other accidents, with careful attention to preserving family heirlooms and valued artworks.
Client feedback highlights the quality, care and efficiency of her restorations, as well as reasonable costs. Holst Fine Art also presents a gallery of recent work and invites prospective clients to arrange an appointment. Together, Jillian and Sarah offer a personal, experienced service for people seeking art advice, valuation or conservation in Melbourne
