— Homberjaan

Homberjaan is a Dutch family-history website devoted to collecting, exploring and sharing stories that connect generations. It brings together family narratives, genealogical research and memories of everyday life in the Netherlands, giving small details—such as an old photograph, a recurring occupation or a remembered home—their place in a wider family story. The site invites curious relatives to discover where their families came from and how past experiences shape the present.

Homberjaan offers articles about people, places and family connections, along with practical guidance for researching a family tree. Its resources explain topics such as tracing a family line and using civil registers, church records and other historical sources to build a well-supported account. Visitors can explore by region, surname, daily life, period or family branch, and browse an archive of stories and research notes.

The site also encourages people to contribute memories and join the search for family clues. Visitors may sign up for occasional updates featuring new stories, discoveries and invitations to investigate.
