Home Repair Grants

HomeRepairGrants. org is an independent information resource that helps homeowners explore repair assistance by location and need. It is not a government agency, does not accept applications, and cannot determine eligibility or guarantee funding, approval, or repairs.

The site explains different forms of help, including grants, loans, deferred or forgivable loans, rebates, direct services, weatherization, benefits, insurance payments, and referrals. Visitors can browse guides for all 50 states and Washington, D. C., search for programs by state or repair issue, and use an application tracker to find opportunities reported as open or upcoming.

Topics include urgent safety repairs, roofs, water, energy efficiency, accessibility, rural homeowners, seniors, veterans, disaster damage, and manufactured homes. Practical resources cover where to begin, local programs, application steps, documents to gather, program status, and options when an application is declined. The guides emphasize checking service areas, funding, eligibility, deadlines, and official application routes, and warn readers to confirm requirements and obtain written approval before starting work
