Homes For Our Troops

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting severely injured post-9/11 Veterans as they rebuild their lives. Its mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide, helping Veterans live with greater independence. HFOT reports that Veterans incur no financial cost for their homes. The organization also connects Veterans with assistance and resources through its intake team and offers information through its Veterans resources, stories, videos, and home tours.

For supporters, HFOT provides multiple ways to contribute, including donations, estate giving, philanthropy, corporate partnerships, fundraising, and participation in Team HFOT. The organization also shares project updates, events, newsletters, and information about its work and finances. Its website features an interactive map of home projects, recipient stories, and resources for prospective Veterans seeking help. HFOT states that it has built 448 homes and has 63 projects underway nationwide, with nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent going directly to program services for Veterans.
