Homeward Trails Animal Rescue is a dedicated non-profit organization established in 2002, focused on securing loving homes for dogs and cats in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Each year, Homeward Trails rescues thousands of animals from under-resourced shelters and individuals who can no longer care for their pets. With a strong commitment to animal welfare, the organization also operates international rescue initiatives, collaborating with partners in countries such as Thailand, Kuwait, and Ukraine, and provides spay/neuter services through its GuaniCARES program in Puerto Rico.

In addition to its adoption services, Homeward Trails supports Virginia's under-resourced communities through its Trails UP program, offering vital resources, training, and outreach to combat animal homelessness at its roots. This comprehensive approach includes Trap-Neuter-Return initiatives and vaccine clinics, ensuring a sustainable impact on local animal populations. With a track record of compassion and advocacy, Homeward Trails is committed to providing quality care and support for animals in need and their future families.
