Honest Weight Food Co-op is a community grocery store in Albany, New York, offering natural, organic, and local foods. Open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., the co-op welcomes all shoppers and provides grocery delivery alongside in-store shopping. Its departments include produce, bulk foods, meat and seafood, grocery items, beer and cider, wellness products, cheese and specialty foods, gifts, and plants. Shoppers can explore more than 300 cheeses, including locally made varieties, and find everyday savings through sales, member-owner incentives, and programs such as Double Up Food Bucks, which matches SNAP dollars on fresh produce. Honest Weight also offers catering, with cheese platters, appetizers, salads, entrées, sides, and sweets. Beyond shopping, the co-op provides classes and events, community programs, and opportunities for member-owners to participate in meetings, voting, and governance. Its Food and Product Manual explains the co-op’s approach to choosing products, helping customers make informed shopping decisions.
