Honu Handmade Jewellery is an artistic jewellery brand created by self-taught jewellery artist Isabelle Bénatouil in her Lisbon studio. Inspired by the leatherback turtle, the brand combines sculptural design with a commitment to sea turtle conservation. Each piece is forged and carved by hand from a single block of material, using traditional techniques without casting or moulding.
Collections include rings, bracelets, earrings, pendants, chains, necklaces and jewellery sets, alongside gift ideas and bespoke creations developed from customers’ ideas or sketches. Designs are crafted primarily in recycled, RJC-certified 950‰ solid silver and 18K palladium white gold, and may feature Tahitian pearls, mother-of-pearl, coral and natural gemstones. Honu’s collections include Prestige, Totem Luth, Lagon, Instinct, Joséphine B., Brut.
and Caprice. The brand also offers a gift card and provides jewellery care and sizing guidance. Its environmental commitments include FSC® and ISO 14001-certified packaging made from recycled materials, tree planting for every order, and support for Te mana o te moana, an organisation dedicated to conserving sea turtles and their ecosystem in French Polynesia
