Community contributors suggest interesting, well-crafted content and breaking news, while the site’s moderation helps manage submissions and discussion.

Alongside its news feed, hookii offers recurring features and themed collections covering books, music, cinema, video, board games, nature, art, fashion, cooking, sport, and more. Readers can explore special coverage on subjects such as international conflicts and US affairs, browse rapid recommendations, and take part in activities including quizzes and video game discussions. The site also shares podcasts and other selected media, and provides information about its history, membership, and community events. Hookii is associated with an Italian cultural association and describes itself as a website rather than a periodical publication.
