Hookz Sportfishing

Hookz Sportfishing is a locally owned Virginia Beach fishing charter led by Captain Tom Zelibor, a lifelong Chesapeake Bay angler. Departing from a private dock on the Lynnhaven River, the company guides anglers across the river, Chesapeake Bay, and Virginia Beach oceanfront. Trips suit both first-time fishers and experienced anglers, with Captain Tom tailoring outings to guests’ interests and seasonal conditions.

Charter options range from four-hour Lynnhaven Inlet trips to six- and eight-hour Bay excursions, as well as trips for bluefish and Spanish mackerel, winter inshore bluefin tuna, and fishing near Windmill Point. Depending on the season, anglers may target cobia, bull and puppy drum, speckled trout, sheepshead, flounder, tautog, sea bass, and other species. Bait, tackle, rods, reels, ice, a fishing license, and water and snacks on shorter trips are included.

Hookz also offers two-hour dolphin tours and sunset cruises on the Lynnhaven River and Chesapeake Bay. The business serves Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and the wider Hampton Roads area.
