Hoops for Everyone is a nonprofit youth basketball organization serving the Brooklyn communities of Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and Williamsburg. It creates a safe, supportive, and inclusive setting where children and teens can develop their basketball skills while building confidence and healthy habits. The organization offers weekday and weekend clinics, along with afterschool programs, for young people ages 4 to 18. Through consistent coaching and mentorship, participants are encouraged to stay active, engaged, and focused on positive activities throughout the year.
Beyond teaching the game, Hoops for Everyone uses basketball to help young people develop teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and resilience. Its programs aim to steer kids away from negative influences and equip them with life skills that extend beyond the court. The organization reports having coached and mentored hundreds of young athletes since its inception, supporting their growth both in sport and in everyday life. Families seeking information can contact the organization by email or connect through its Instagram presence.
