HoosiersforRenewables

Hoosiers for Renewables is an Indiana-focused organization working to inform and educate residents about the benefits of renewable energy. It advocates for a diverse energy mix in which clean, affordable renewable sources play a growing role in the state’s future. The organization highlights options including wind, solar, energy storage, hydrogen, and biomass, and presents renewable energy as relevant to Hoosiers in both cities and rural communities.

Its website shares information about the economic and community benefits of renewable energy projects. Topics include the potential for farmers to earn steadier income by hosting projects, and for rural communities to use project payments to support schools, first responders, community centers, and high-speed internet access. Hoosiers for Renewables also publishes statewide survey results on public support for solar energy and its potential to provide clean, reliable, affordable power. Visitors can explore resources on energy, county benefits, property rights, and frequently asked questions, read the organization’s blog, and sign up for email updates about renewable energy and opportunities to take action.
