HOPE, the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation, is a non-profit organization established in 1966. It represents national public and private hospital and healthcare associations, as well as owners of hospital, health, and social care services. With 36 member organizations from the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the Republic of Serbia, HOPE covers almost 80% of hospital care and actively participates in the healthcare and social fields.

HOPE's mission is to promote improvements in citizens' health and a uniformly high standard of hospital care by the European Union. It focuses on fostering efficiency, effectiveness, and humanity in the organization and operations of hospital and health services.

HOPE actively engages in the European arena, advocating for its members and influencing policies related to hospitals and health services. It contributes to the legislative agenda and participates in European projects and joint actions.

Additionally, HOPE provides valuable resources and services to its members, including the exchange of knowledge through its Exchange Programme and access to a library of published documents. Through their involvement in European projects and collaborations, HOPE stays at the forefront of topics such as Cross Border Cooperation, eHealth, Health Threats, Health Workforce, Patient Safety & Quality of Care, and Promotion & Prevention.
