Hope for Cancer Kids (HCK) is an impactful brand dedicated to providing support and care for children and adolescents fighting cancer in Kenya. Founded in 2008 by James Nyaga, a parent who experienced the devastating shock of his child's cancer diagnosis, HCK aims to bring some lightness and joy into the lives of these brave young fighters and their families. HCK is registered as a Civil Society organization under the societies act of Kenya and offers various programs and services.

Their National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) Support Program is their flagship initiative. Through fundraising efforts, HCK covers insurance costs for children from low-income backgrounds, ensuring they have access to quality cancer treatment in public hospitals. The insurance covers both in-patient and out-patient fees for the child and their family.

In addition to financial support, HCK is actively involved in advocacy, providing psychosocial support, and creating awareness. Their mission is to ensure every child in Kenya has access to comprehensive cancer treatment. With their dedicated efforts, HCK has significantly increased its impact, supporting an average of 180 children per month in 2022, compared to just 16 in 2008.
