Hope and Healing Academy, located in Topeka, KS, is dedicated to providing equine-facilitated psychotherapy to clients of all ages and backgrounds. Established in 2014, our licensed psychotherapists, riding instructors, and trained horse handlers work together to bring hope and healing to individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our state-of-the-art facilities span over 30 acres and include indoor and outdoor riding arenas, sensory trails for both beginners and advanced riders, a nine-stall barn, tack room, and twelve therapy horses.

We utilize Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP), a form of experiential psychotherapy that incorporates equine activities like handling, grooming, lunging, riding, and driving. This therapy, facilitated by licensed mental health professionals and credentialed equine trainers, benefits those experiencing conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and depression. At Hope and Healing Academy, we also practice Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

Founded in 1981, Pat Parelli's program emphasizes understanding horse behavior, psychology, and communication.
