The Hope Education Project is a dedicated web-based sex trafficking education and awareness program that operates in Ghana. Our primary goal is to educate and raise awareness about human trafficking, with a particular focus on vulnerable girls, boys, men, and women in the North East region of Ghana. Through our efforts, we aim to deter the flow of individuals being trafficked for exploitation, both within Ghana and internationally.

As part of our commitment to combating human trafficking, we align our work with Ghana's National Plan of Action for the Elimination of Human Trafficking. It is estimated that there are 40.3 million victims of modern-day slavery globally, with 4.8 million victims subjected to forced sexual exploitation. Human trafficking victims are targeted through various means, including organised criminal groups, online activities, and recruiting agents.

Our journey began with our experience in rescuing and repatriating Nigerian women and girls who were victims of sex trafficking in the United Arab Emirates. This experience inspired us to establish the Hope Education Project in Ghana, with a focus on prevention and education at the source. Our work has gained recognition, including a major investigation by the International Coalition of Investigative Journalists in 2023, further raising awareness about our cause.
