Hope for Life Katanga is a brand dedicated to enabling families in Uganda to become self-reliant and live a self-sufficient life. We believe that it is unacceptable for people to live in poverty and are committed to providing the necessary resources and support to help families break free from the cycle of poverty.

Our work focuses on providing access to essential community services such as education, training, micro-credit, and healthcare. We started in 2012 by offering educational opportunities to children from families struggling to afford basic necessities. Today, we continue to run a sponsorship program that alleviates the financial burden on families, allowing them to prioritize education and nutritious food.

In conjunction with this program, we also provide training, business support, and micro-credit to parents, empowering them to increase their incomes and provide for their families independently. Our ultimate goal is for parents and caregivers to have enough resources to ensure sufficient food, housing, healthcare, and education for their families without relying on our direct support or any other organization.

Located in the urban 'slum' of Katanga, our home, we are surrounded by a vibrant community of approximately 20,000 people. Despite challenges such as open sewage and floods, Katanga exudes a strong sense of community and offers an array of small businesses and services. We strive to improve the quality of life in Katanga by creating opportunities for education and training, which are crucial for sustainable and measurable change.
