Hope Squad is a student-led, peer-to-peer support program that harnesses school connectedness to reduce the risk of suicide in elementary and secondary schools. We train trusted adults on campus (Advisors) who then empower students (Members) to recognize warning signs and connect their peers to a trusted adult.

About Hope Squad
Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program that aims to reduce youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. With over 1,500 Squads nationwide, Hope Squad empowers students to build meaningful connections with their peers and create a culture of caring and support within their school and community. Hope Squad members are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy peers and are trained by advisors.
They learn how to recognize suicide warning signs, respectfully report concerns, and support fellow students who may be struggling. In addition to school-based prevention, Hope Squad also focuses on intervention and postvention, offering help to those affected by suicide and reducing the risk of further tragedies. By working together with schools, mental health organizations, and communities, Hope Squad strives to prevent suicide and provide support to those in need
