HOPP, the Association for Health Promotion and Prevention, is a nonprofit organization founded by young people in 2012 and based in Opole, Poland. Its members include young people interested in public health and older adults who support dialogue between generations. HOPP works to promote healthy lifestyles, strengthen health prevention, and make public health knowledge more accessible, with the broader aim of improving quality of life and reducing illness.
The association focuses particularly on health education for young people, using non-formal learning methods and involving youth leaders who work with them. Through its Erasmus+ projects and international partnerships, HOPP offers opportunities for young people to build skills, creativity, and mobility through exchanges, seminars, and training. Its projects have involved partners in countries including Bulgaria, Cyprus, Romania, Italy, Germany, and Ukraine. HOPP is developing the “Start Now!” strategic partnership, which will produce a publication on non-formal health education methods and an online portal with an e-learning course. The course aims to help participants care for themselves, others, and their environment.
