Hoppr is a New Zealand-built carpooling platform designed to help people share intercity journeys across Aotearoa. It connects drivers with spare seats to travellers heading in the same direction, making it easier to split trip costs, meet fellow Kiwis and reduce the number of cars on the road. Drivers can post a route and available seats, while passengers search by destination and date, review profiles and ratings, and request a booking through the app.
Hoppr says fuel costs are shared fairly and paid through the platform, avoiding the need to handle cash. The service also includes verified profiles, driver and vehicle checks, background checks, community ratings and controls for accepting ride requests. Optional features include Women-Only Mode, recurring rides and the ability to reserve the back seat for extra space.
