Hórakukk Fejlesztőház is a child-development and school-readiness center in Budapest, offering supportive programs that help children prepare for the transition from kindergarten to primary school. Its Hórakukk Ovisuli runs full-day groups for children approaching school age at locations in Zugló and Erzsébetliget, with weekly development sessions also available for younger children at the Zugló site. Rather than relying on short, intensive lessons, the center uses a gradual, play-based approach designed around children’s needs and attention spans.

Days combine cognitive development activities with movement, physical education, free play, outdoor time, crafts, stories, and relaxation. Children practise foundational skills through repetition and tailored activities, while also becoming familiar with routines such as completing simple homework and using cutlery. Qualified educators lead the programs, and specialist therapists provide TSMT movement therapy.

Speech therapy is also available at the Zugló location, allowing families to access several types of support in one place. Hórakukk’s aim is to make school preparation engaging, balanced, and responsive to each child
