About POLYNICES Project
POLYNICES Project is a brand that focuses on advancing photonic integration technology. They provide a range of products and services for the next generation of photonic modules. The brand recognizes the need for cost-efficiency and compatibility with high volume production, which current technologies lack.
They aim to overcome these barriers by offering a general-purpose photonic integration platform that is scalable, affordable, and highly functional. POLYNICES utilizes innovative techniques such as spin-coating Fraunhofer's PolyBoard material on PCBs to create a low-cost Electro-Optic PCB (EOPCB) motherboard with excellent waveguide properties. They also incorporate LioniX's Si3N4 platform and flip-chip integration for passive optical alignment and electrical connection.
By co-packaging electronic ICs on the same EOPCB, they significantly reduce packaging costs. Moreover, POLYNICES develops fully integrated optoelectronic spectrometers and quantum processors with advanced functionalities. Their technology offers a holistic approach to photonic integration and packaging, making it accessible and affordable for SMEs in the industry
