Horizont Computergrafik

Horizont Computergrafik is an independent games and interactive media studio based in Berlin, Germany, founded in July 2022. Inspired by the technological and cultural pioneering spirit of early computer graphics and the 1980s and 1990s demoscene, the studio creates distinctive digital experiences that draw on history while embracing contemporary ideas. Its work explores ambitious approaches to game design, interface design, creative software and interactive computing, bringing together art history, software development and immersive media.

The studio’s featured project is Rogue Voltage, a tactical engineering roguelike that entered Steam Early Access in May 2024. Blending roguelike deckbuilding, tactical role-playing and engineering puzzles, the game lets players connect more than 160 modules with wires to build skills, power machines and trigger chain reactions in deterministic, turn-based combat. Players also manipulate time, tackle procedurally generated enemies and progress through varied biomes. Developed by founder Luca Beisel with contributions from a small team, Rogue Voltage has an active player community that helps inform development.
