About Horizonte Göttingen
Horizonte Göttingen e.V. Founded with the mission to enhance care for these women, the association offers a wide array of services aimed at counseling, guiding, and promoting breast cancer prevention. The name Horizonte, meaning horizons, symbolizes hope and the journey towards life after cancer.
Key initiatives include an open consultation service, providing a safe space for patients and their families in Southern Lower Saxony to address their concerns. Additionally, the Sportgruppe Horizonte offers tailored physical activities that research shows can benefit patients even during treatment. The Gesprächskreis serves as a support group where individuals can share experiences and encourage one another. One notable project is the creation of heart pillows by an engaged sewing group, which provides comfort to newly diagnosed women in local clinics. Horizonte Göttingen e.V.
