Horrific Scribblings

Horrific Scribes is an expanding online archive of provocative, scary, and strange fiction, with some poetry, by writers from around the world. Edited by L. Andrew Cooper, it is associated with the Horrific Scribblings imprint and features dark, transgressive work, primarily horror across a wide range of styles and levels of intensity. The archive also welcomes horror-adjacent writing, including dark fantasy, dark science fiction, surrealism, and experimental fiction. Its content is intended for mature readers and may include graphic violence, explicit sexuality, profanity, and other potentially disturbing material.

Rather than publishing magazine issues, Horrific Scribes organizes selected stories and poems into “Exhibits,” themed collections presented with an introduction and cover art.
