Horse & Talk is a Danish provider of horse-assisted therapy and riding experiences for children and young people, with a particular focus on those who are vulnerable or experiencing difficulties. The service has experience supporting young people with ADHD, ADD and autism, as well as those facing challenges such as school refusal, anxiety, grief or other difficult periods. Its sessions are designed as a caring, calm space and are offered as a supplement, not a replacement, for psychological or other treatment.

Through time with horses, participants practise communication, body awareness and concentration, and build riding skills at their own pace. Activities include working with horses from the ground, learning to respond to subtle signals, individual riding instruction and guided rides in the forest. The horses’ responses also provide opportunities to reflect on communication and relationships. Horse & Talk aims to support greater self-esteem, emotional calm and confidence, while offering a relaxed setting where conversation with a professional adult can develop naturally.
