Horse Farms Forever is a dynamic and impactful nonprofit organization that was founded in 2018 with a clear mission: to protect Marion County's Farmland Preservation Area. This area, established in 2005, is home to mineral-rich soil, pristine water sources, and precious spring sheds, all of which are increasingly threatened by development and roadways. At Horse Farms Forever, we actively participate in and defend against these threats by gathering and amplifying the voices that understand the value of our rural heritage and are committed to preserving it for future generations.

Our work is rooted in facts and aims to protect the culture, character, and vibrant economy of greater Ocala, which is uniquely tied to the presence of horses and horse farms. In addition to protection and defense, we also strive to promote awareness and understanding of the options available to landowners who wish to preserve their beloved properties. By sharing knowledge and showcasing possibilities, we empower landowners to pass their land along to future generations.

We recognize that successful preservation efforts require planning and collaboration at the county level. That's why we facilitate progress by promoting the development of a comprehensive plan for Rural Land Management. Through collaboration and community influence, we strive for a strong blueprint that safeguards our rural landscape.

As part of our commitment to education and outreach, we host a Conservation Summit that brings together stakeholders and experts to discuss and address critical issues.
